We understand that recent changes within the federal workforce are bringing uncertainty and challenges, and we are committed to supporting you during this time. We have compiled a range of resources and opportunities designed to assist all federal workers, including our alumni and members of the Georgetown community, as you navigate your next steps.
Georgetown GLID values the impactful work of those in public service, and we recognize that federal government reductions in the workforce and other governmental shifts have impacted many in the DMV community and beyond. Our program is pleased to offer an application fee waiver, deadline extension, and a 10% scholarship on base the tuition for Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 to support those affected who would like to advance their skills and explore new opportunities.

*UPDATE – Tuition Scholarship for Georgetown Undergrads & Alumni
Georgetown University is committed to supporting graduating seniors and recent undergraduate alumni. Current seniors and undergraduate alumni from the Classes of 2023 and 2024 who enroll in Fall 2025 are eligible for a 10% base tuition scholarship for select master’s degrees.
Application Deadlines

Final Application Deadline for Masters of Science Applications.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or be in their final undergraduate year. All majors and backgrounds are welcome. Work, research, clinical and other relevant experiences are valued.
Master’s of Science students will apply directly to one of the two following concentrations, which each have additional pre-requisites:
- Modeling & Informatics: Students applying to the M&I concentration are required to have at least two semesters of math or advanced statistics, as well as some experience in computer programming.
- Science Policy: Students applying to the policy concentration need introductory economics and political science.
We strongly encourage students to apply to the program at the point at which they have already taken, or are in the process of taking, the pre-requisites. Applicants must take the pre-requisites prior to matriculation and pass them with a B or better in order to matriculate.
